More Updates (Where I talk about fabric)! :3

I'm pretty much where I expected to be right now, having spent the entirety of this week sewing on stuff. I'm halfway done with Fresca at this point; the pants are done and the jacket minus the sleeves are finished. I got actually hyper at 1am when I called it quits for the night and woke up Tori in the middle of her catnap (as she was working on ( Read more... )

Neverending Story II is shit, but it's got nothing on the third movie which I had the misfortune of watching a few months ago. That was ABSOLUTE crap.

The only thing that saved the second one was Jonathan Brandis. I had such a massive crush on him when I was younger (mainly from watching Seaquest. Which if you are looking for massive cheese, check out those dvds. Oh boy). It's so sad that he took his own life.

Oh ho ho, the Neverending Story III is an entirely different rant/review. I haven't seen it since it came out and I think the best way to sum it up in a non-verbose manner is:

.> . . <.< . . . >:O

or in one sentence:

"It's a movie where the Childlike Empress is given a credit card."

Poor Jonathan Brandis; I used to watch Seaquest too back in the day and also had a thing for him. You just can't help it; he's gorgeous! I get mad when I hear about perfectly good people taking their lives. I will never understand suicide. Never.

Embarrassing Confession Time: Seaquest was the first show I ever wrote fanfiction for. From I what I recall it was a blatant Mary-Sue insert fic where I was a psychic onboard the Seaquest and Jonathan Brandis' character was, of course, smitten with me. I even sent it in to the studio and got a photo signed by the entire cast in return.

I AM SO LAME.

That's not embarrassing; that's adorable!~ <3<3 You got something out of it so you win! Considering how much I paid for Phillip Glenister & John Simm's autographed pictures at D*C, you got the best deal ever!

I only put a bit of it to paper (the rest was just my little head stories/fantasies) but I used to "create" Star Wars fanfiction. Again, Mary Sue character who was Darth Vadar's adopted daughter learning the ways of the Darkside. I don't even remember how it all worked out but I remember writing her onboard the ship they capture Princess Leah on in "A New Hope" and kicking Rebel ass. She was, of course, doomed being evil and all.

I think that's why we dislike the Mary Sue formula so much; it's a weak form of writing that we create mostly when we're adolecents.
