Driving to work each morning allows me at least thirty to forty minutes of deep thoughts, at least one benefit of a rather dull commute. I don’t think I get so philosophical during my drive home because I’m usually anticipating dinner or planning out what I will do with my evening upon the return. However the morning’s thoughts are always deep

Electric Dreams is fantastic as well. I love that he calls Miles "Moles". Cracks me up. I should rewatch that, I haven't seen it in years.

If you want a scary computer story you should check out "Demon Seed" by Dean Koontz. It's pretty creepy.

Yeah!!~ Good to hear of someone who's seen at least two of my favorite films!! I seriously need to watch Electric Dreams with you cuz of our mutual interest in this film.

Dune brings back memories of childhood for me. My mom practically raised me on Dune, Star Wars and Star Trek, lol.
I know it's not 1980s, but the Firefly and Serenity soundtracks are awesome! I just recently bought them and have been listening to them non-stop (with a little LoZ soundtrack thrown in here and there).
I am going to have to check out some of the other titles you mentioned. Sadly, Dune is the only one that I have seen!

Ah, Dune! "I WILL kill him! ::crazyface::" Gotta love it! It's funny how not a lot of people have really ever seen Dune, despite it being so popular. I can't even tell you the appeal it has but it's just eerie and cool all at the same time; glad to know we share the interest!! Star Trek, besides the Next Gen stuff, was not a staple in the home but Star Wars was my own personal obsession growing up. I can't remember the first time I saw it, I've been watching them so long. This is one of the major reasons I was so dissapointed in the prequels! >.>

Liz really like Firefly/Serenity but for some reason I couldn't get into it. I will check out the soundtracks though. Speaking of soundtracks of sci-fi series, I love the New Doctor Who soudtracks!! I'm always listening to them while I work.

Yeah, the Star Wars prequels sucked balls. I only own the original three for that reason. =)
Awww....Firefly/Serenity are awesome! But I am partial to space travel, dinosaurs and shooting people all in the same show!
I will have to check out the Doctor Who soundtracks. I just recently got into it and have been trucking my way through the episodes.
