Part 2:
http://sailinghearts.livejournal.com/8633.html Author's Note: Wow! It has been over a year since I posted to this journal. Alot has happened in my personal life, and I now find myself ready to pick up the stories I had abandoned.
Chapter 3
Jim stood outside the preceint door in the blizzard for a monment, adjusting to his surrounding. He hoped like hell that Batman wasn't out in this, despite the darkness. Shoving his uncast hand into his pocket, he turned to his left and began to walk the five blocks to his apartment. He would have to remember to call Alfred and leave a message so his personal mother hen would not worry. He paused for a moment, stiffling a cough. 'Great' he thought. 'I don't have time for a sick day. Hope I have some NyQuil.'
He never saw the thug in the alley as he walked pass. Gordon did feel the blow to the back of his head that left him unconcious in the snow. It did not take long for the snowfall to cover his tan trench coat, hiding him from view.
Bruce snarled as voicemail answered his call again. It was the third call to Jim's cell in an hour. Each time, voicemail had answered. A call to the preceint had verified that the Commissoner had left about two hours ago, but a call to the lobby of his new apartment building left Bruce with the knowledge that Jim had never reached his home. He was beginning to worry. Handing the cell phone to Alfred, he instructed the butler to contact him if Gordon called in. Blizzard or no blizzard, Batman was going out.

Author's Note. Okay so this was short and sweet. It is also the first thing I have written in over a year. I will be keeping up with my fics now. Have to go figure out how to post to communities with the hidden link stuff again. Anyway, enough rambling. If anyone has any suggestions on where or what they'd like to see, let me know. Obviously, Gordon is going to be very, very sick when he is found. But beyond that, this has no plot line as such. Feel free to make requests.
