Oh, if you like Alex Kingston you really should watch it! It's amazing. Honestly, for me, she's TOO amazing in it; I had to stop when it started to get angsty because I just literally COULD NOT HANDLE HER FACE. She is so damn talented. Seriously, though, ER is amazing and Mark/Elizabeth is a fabulous ship and you should totally watch it.
