Eee, this was so fun! And hot! Bones just settles right in. I love the way you interwove the universes, and I'm having the best time imagining Jim and Mal getting into trouble and Bones and Simon complaining about it. I'm greedy, I want more.

Thank you! I have such a complicated backstory in my head for the merging, you would not believe. Unfortunately, since this is still the 2250s and Firefly took place in the 2400s, I think, they will never meet. Not to say that JT Kirk the IVth doesn't bump into them at some later time and place. :D

Never seen Firefly, but I quite enjoyed this! The bathing scene was so leisurely and erotic -- I am impressed that Bones was able to resist. ;-)

Oh, Bones just barely resisted, another few minutes and he would have had Jim down on the massage table if Winona hadn't walked in. ;P

Congratulations, sweetie! This was such an ambitious idea, and you managed to deliver a ton of scene-setting and exposition without it ever seeming forced, and leaving plenty of room for the yummy sensory details. The Jim/Bones interaction came out great--both characters are quiet identifiable despite their very different backstories in this 'verse. The twist was a total surprise--I love the idea of Winona as governor of Tarsus! I want to know how THAT happened.

And of course, we all want a sequel. Told ya ♥

Thanks so much, again, for your help! This story was a monster to parse out and your suggestions really made a world of difference.

Oh, that twist! That was a direct result of the Tarsus meta post on jim_and_bones last week. It made me really start to think about different scenarios and it just dovetailed so well with this fic.

Oh, I've got plans. On my drive in to work today I started plotting out how to get Scotty and Spock Prime to Tarsus. ;} I do all my best plotting in the car or in the shower. ::shakes head:: Whatever works, right?
