If inspiration does not strike for finishing the story (which is awesome but also very sophisticated with a complex plot), maybe you can move the gift exchange earlier and make the rest of the story a "to be continued." I'm sure no one will mind a second helping!

I've written 500 more words and I'm doing revisions on your latest notes right now. Once I'm done with that, I probably won't be able to get back to it until tomorrow night. I'm going to shoot for 1000 words a day and that should finish it by Sunday, I hope! There may have to be some that doesn't get your beta, but it probably won't be that much. I'll leave a (non-vague) disclaimer when I post. :)
