News? what news?

The only news is that I have my actual cold of the season, which is pretty damn good considering where I work. And that I used to be a magnet for respiratory stuff. I've had a gut virus or two in the past months, but nothing respiratory. Until now. The bad part is that it's making up for lost time and has settled in my lungs. So I've actually taken ( Read more... )

Sadly, it's back...with friends. How long you up in the Great White North? Because I don't think this weekend is going to happen. We might try a low-key Imbolg (Imbolg is usually low-key, being such a housebound, homey ritual...which I have reason to suspect is the most traditional).

I guess I'm paying for not getting any respiratory illness all winter until now, which is possibly a record for me (especially where I work!). Now that I have something, it's not going to let me off easy. I made it through four nights of work before finally giving up on any chance of going in tonight...pretty much got through last night through shear will power and stubbornness. But I have chicken soup! And puppies!

UGH...that sucks! We will be up here for several more weeks. The only time so far that we aren't free is March 3-6. Then we will leave a few days after that....

Chicken soup and puppies are the best cure I can think of! TAke good care of yourself!

Yeah, it really does...especially as this just doesn't seem to want to let go or in any way be reasonable. Both of us are getting random symptoms. We'll have a day where it hits our sinuses, another where it hits our throats and then back to sinuses, then to our lungs (well, Aaron, it's just in my lungs no matter where it goes, but I have a congenital lung issue that exasperates it). Or it changes through the day. We'll have one day where we feel fine, then BOOM! it's back ( ... )

Feel better sweetie - I am sick too, I got one of those stupid flus that don't basically go away until spring. Yucko.

Sorry you're sick too and hope you get better soon. As noted above, I've been hit hard again after thinking I was over it. It seems to just be a cold, not a flu, but now with exciting new bronchitis and sinus pain. But I have homemade (Aaron made) chicken soup for lunch and probably dinner and likely snacks in the crockpot and puppies to snuggle. Some anyway, Cù will likely put himself in his crate at some point, he's weird that way.

Actually Cù ended up spending last night, the whole night, on the other couch (other than the one Òrlaith spent the night on), whether I was also there or not. Tonight he's already stationed himself on the dog bed next to our bed, right up against Aaron's side of it. He's such a love, he so needed to be a house dog...I think Òrlaith would have been happy living her life as a kennel dog, but she likes us too.
