Thank you all who donated and reposted the bulletin. Tedi of The Horse Rescue Foundation was able to bail out the three slaughter bound TBs. Here's her post

Oh I know! I got online this evening and she had a bulletin that it was one hour (and it had been posted more than an hour before, it was after 7 her time by then) and she was still $800 something short!

I was so dreading that she didn't get them all. I mean, could you imagine having to make that decision?! Between three healthy young horses. "Okay, you get to live but you go to slaughter" Ugh! I know she was a wreck over this, I can't imagine her managing to survive having to make that choice.

I'm so happy she got them all out. These are only three, but it's a total starfish thing...you can't save them all, but it matters a lot to the ones you can.

I'd checked in and saw $800 short too, and was just hoping that either she was too busy to update or was working on another (unlikely) extension, so this is wonderful news.

Three is good. Three is fantastic. Rejoice in the three, and those doing the good work.

Yeah...although I was anxious (but imagine how anxious SHE was!) I kept telling myself that the fact she hadn't updated for awhile could mean she was at least doing the work to save one, two or all three. If she couldn't get any, she'd have been there to post earlier.

Tomorrow morning those three get on a very different truck to a very different location than they might of.

Damn, I'm getting teary again.
