She's in her room -- not quite pacing the floor, for there's no reason to be nervous, now is there?

No real reason, say true.

And yet, although Susan Delgado (for now) busies herself with any of a number of small tasks to occupy her hands, her thoughts can't be so easily distracted.

Susan and Lilly are miniskirted and beglittered when they arrive downstairs and head towards the group waiting by the door.

"Here we are, guys! Everyone ready?"

Both hands are clasped together, just below her chin, and her eyes meet Susannah's.

Softly, she says, "Please?"

Susannah sighs, unmanned. She looks up over the bar, at the photo in a silver frame under the neon yellow bra, where her dinh eternally dips and kisses sai Tonks, drunk as a lord and twice as dignified.

"If one of y'all were to grab the handles of my chair and hijack I probably wouldn't shoot anybody."
