Death is in the Nexus again, taking his downtime to scan another soul with his stones. He decides to ask a question.

"Dear Sages. If you were to go shopping for, or inherit a magic item. What sort of item would you want, and what magical ability would you like it to have?"

"Some sort of device that can detect LOL's, even in the Nexus," says a purple marked golden cat lounging on the arm of a chair. The cat's voice may sound familiar, "I'd give it to an alternate of mine, who studies the things."

"I've only heard a little about LOLs, I wonder if there is such a device to detect them."

[swindle_blitz]

"I've heard of such, magic-detecting items, but they don't work in the Nexus," the cat says, "Too saturated here, or something."

"Well that stinks. Something useful and it won't work." he frowns.

"I'm not sure, Sir," answers what appears to be a rather short teenager with incredibly pale skin and dressed in black leather pants and vest. "I already own several things with magical properties. I can't really think of anything that would enhance the life I have now."

"Oh? What sorts do you already have?"

[slaveprince]

"Well, my brother had a coat made for me back when I didn't have a steady home. It's a leather trench coat, and its pockets can hold anything that fits into the opening, with no limit on how much I could stuff into them. I used it to keep all my clothes and - um - personal items in. Then there's a - a tail, and a few necklaces that were made from braided hair, that were magically tied to the men whose hair was used while they still lived. They still have a magical aura for those who can see those kinds of things, but they don't do anything anymore. So just the coat, now, which I don't actually use." He realizes he's rambling, and bites his lip to keep from continuing.

He laughs. "Please, feel free to continue. I did ask after all and I'm interested."
