Death is in the Nexus again, taking his downtime to scan another soul with his stones. He decides to ask a question.

"Dear Sages. If you were to go shopping for, or inherit a magic item. What sort of item would you want, and what magical ability would you like it to have?"

"I think you already know my answer," Ali points out with a smile. "A magic wand that turns things into chocolate."

"And I think he's very sweet. But he's a horse, and there's really only so far even my mind can flex."

"My mind certainly wasn't going anywhere inappropriate. I was joking, besides crushes can be completely innocent."

[vicioussweetie]

"I never--" Ali's first instinct, always, is to defend herself (her second usually being to pummel her opponent into the ground, either physically or verbally, until they relent). But she catches herself, forces herself to take a deep breath, and shakes her head. "Nevermind. Forget I said anything."

He raises a brow unsure of what just happened.

"Very well."

"So, did you have a nice Valentine's Day?"

"It was just another day really. I paid a visit to Fate, watched her spin some romances into a few lives. It's interesting to watch her work and I thought it would be a good day to do it. Workwise, we weren't particulary busy. I hope yours was eventful."

"Mine was very nice. I got a pen for my collection, and some flowers, and got to watch my wife go half-crazy trying to solve a puzzle." Ali grins at the memory. "I was going to make you a cheesecake, but I wasn't sure how to get it to you in a timely manner. So I will make it when I know I can deliver it soon thereafter."

"That's very sweet of you. I'm not certain of a way you can travel to Purgatory on your own, but you can certainly call me at any time."

"I didn't want to bother you, if you were working."

He taps his deathwatch. "I can suspend my caseload whenever I choose. My friends are never a bother. If I am unable to answer, just leave a message and I will contact you back immediately after the collection of the soul is complete." he smiles.

"Okay. If you're sure."

"Absolutely. You're my friend and very important."

"That makes me very happy to hear. Did the children like their magical items?"

"Oh, yes, very much. Well, Morty still isn't entirely sure it's 'manly' to wear jewelry, but I think he's willing to humor me for now."
