Harvest Festival - Free Non-LOLed Food

A lot of tables have been set up over here, within sight of the Sign area. They're loaded down with baked items, mostly vegetable based, such as mini pumpkin pies, and cupcake-sized carrot cakes and spice cakes. There are elephant ears, funnel cakes, mini shepherd pies, and crepes and blini with various fillings. Though vegetables are in the majority, there are still some fruit items like cherry tarts, mini apple pies, caramel apples, and jelly rolls to keep things from getting boring.

There are bushels of fresh vegetables - anything one might find in a garden catalog, including 'novelties' like multicolored corn and peppers or blue potatoes.

Grills not far away might be your destination if you'd like a half-corncob on a stick (available in several colors), baked potato (including in blue), veggie kabobs, or a bronto burger with onion relish.

There's deep frying equipment as well, for those who'd like to try the multicolored corn dogs, french fries (again, some are blue), onion rings, or breaded and fried dill pickle slices.

One area's got heated soups, again primarily veggie based, ladled out and served in bowls that appear to be a very sturdy green waxed paper - if anyone asks, they're made of edible seaweed and beeswax and can be eaten or nicely composted once the soup's gone.

Drinks include lots of vegetable juices, smoothies, and some fruit juice, punch, and lemonade. For those who like their drinks a little harder it seems the Cossacks might be willing to share some of that vodka over there, and there's been a few attempts at grain-based new beer and hard cider.

There are also lots of home-canned canned goods, for those looking to take something home to store for a while or give as a gift. Sugar-cured, spice cured, smoked, salted, pickled, jellied, flash-frozen, dehydrated, powdered... if it can be done to a vegetable, it's probably here.

And of course there are waffle cones and ice cream.

((The mun meant to post this yesterday, but the time got away from me. This is pretty much just an Open Thread for anything you might want to do nexus-wise that you don't have a question in mind for, like meeting up with someone else's pup or whatever. Do what you'd like with it. ;)

And, to make it 'legal'... I've been cleaning out the back room here lately and trying to identify some old toys. This one doll has me stumped. Pic is here, sorry about the quality as my camera isn't working and I had to hold her on the scanner to get that. :/ Anyone recognize her? According to the stamp on the back, made by Tiger Electronics in 1994. Her eyes are a kind of lavender color, and she uses a 9-volt battery and four AA's. O.O All she seems to do for me is say random phrases, and I'm not sure if she's meant to do more.))
