A female Transformer stumbles in, before flopping on the ground. It's apparent that she's been through the wringer, if the claw marks, and huge hole in her armor are anything to go by. She has a bit of a transparancy to her though, and fades from fully visible to nearly unseen ( Read more... )

One moment there's no one standing by her feet.

And the next there is.

"It can be hard sometimes," says the white, red, and black mech, giving her a look of concern. Then, gently, "But... I'd say your spark's out."

"Showtime?" He frowns at her with quizzical concern.

Showtime's confusion continues, "You're from a different place than me..." It's an observation, rather than a question. She winces again, and reaches up to rub at the hole yet again.

"Why does it hurt?" She's starting to get a bit frightened now, as she remembers someone telling her once that when one dies, the spark and protoform cease to be tied to one another, and that pain stops.

"It does sometimes, when you first cross over. And yes, I am. The reality I came from is probably pretty different from yours. But I serve all the Dead, not just those from my own layer."

Showtime gives Ratchet a slightly pleading look, "make the pain stop, please?"

The other free spark tilts his head, consulting with Primus and asking him what he intends for the blue femme.

((your plans for her are Primus' plans. But do you want to give her a brief little holiday in the Allspark song first?))

Showtime makes a small distressed noise, moving closer to Ratchet.

((Eventually, I intend for her to head back to her own reality to act as a guide for the dead, but yeah, give the poor thing a holiday first.))

"Shhhh. Come here." He hugs her close again, his emotions reassuring and fatherly. "Primus says I can bring you home and show you some of the ropes of being a ferryman. How does that sound?"

((cool. Looks like I tagged her with the right free spark then?))

Showtime nods, relaxing as Ratchet hugs her, "Alright...", her own feelings shifting to those of relief because of the feeling of someone choosing to watch over her(which really seems familiar in a way).

((Indeed. And I'm not sure how much sense my post is making, as my brain's trying to escape through my eyes...ugh...))

He rocks her gently, his feelings and thoughts once more surrounding her. Only now he's focusing on comfort, so there will be less confusion.

"Listen," he says softly. "Do you hear the song?"

((oi. Do you need a rest?))

Showtime blinks a bit, listening. Her doorwings flutter slightly as she hears the song. "Yeah...what is it? It's pretty..."

"Everyone who's crossed the veil, from all layers of the Allspark ((different realities)) and all times." He listens himself, his own sparksong welling up in answer as he unconciously reaches for the communion of the Allspark.

Showtime continues to listen, relaxing even further. She's impressed, and wanting to join in.

((I'm being stubborn and waiting the headache out...if it's still bad by the time I go back to dorm (in about 3 hours), then I'll take something to help me sleep, but till then, I wait.))

-There's Spike,- murmurs Ratchet mentally as a bright streak of sound rippled joyously through the song. He can hear her desire to join in, and he's nearly ready to go.

((*much sympathy*))

-Spike?- Showtime asks, hearing the bright streak of sound. It reminds her of someone dear to her, despite the fact that she can't picture their face or remember their name.

Showtime is ready to go whenever Ratchet is.

((if all else fails, I can always get some of my cold meds from the RA))

-My grandson. He crossed the veil while he was still a sparklet.- He lifts his head and turns to look at the little yellow mech who just popped into sight. -Ready to go, Bumblebee?-

-Yeah,- says the smaller free spark sheepishly, as he grumbles to himself good naturedly about his terrible sense of direction. Then he offers Showtime a smile. -You're coming with, huh?-

((that will help, eh?))
