Just a Dog Chasing Cars

There was a Joker in the Nexus. Probably not the first; likely not the last. But this one was currently humming an odd little tune, making no sense whatsoever, going back and forth between a whistle and an actual humming noise. All the while the Joker "daintily" sauntered over towards a couch. It was a jerky motion, purposefully overacted. He made to fall down onto the couch and at the last minute caught himself with the balls of his feet. He remained standing. He shoved his hands into his pockets and continued to whistle idly.

After a long moment the tune finally turned into something recognizable. Then it abruptly stopped as the Joker gazed amusedly up at the sign.

"Whhyyyy.... did the bat cross the road?"
