Nexus Summer Carnival!
Colorful tents, concessions, games, and even rides. Yes, folks, there's a summer carnival in the Nexus. Are you interested?
((Ok, here's how it goes. My pups are around as semi-NPC catalysts for the event, and rides and concessions and games have been set up. Your pups can drop by those for fun by responding to the threads, threadjack to talk to other pups wandering the carnival, AND/OR start a thread to set up something of your own to add to the fun (note: if you start a ride, game, or whatever, try to put where and what it is in the subject bar to help people find you ;) ). I'm sure there are some carnival games and such I missed (and your pup keeps the profits from their own games, of course. XD) Basically this is a big excuse to goof around, chat with pups you know, meet pups you don't, and so on.
Areas of the carnival are:
Show Tents: Friendly NPCs will provide whatever you need (within reason) offscreen if you want to set up your own. This is for things bordering on circusy, like a stage magic act...
Rides: What's a carnival without rides? My pups couldn't have provided these all on their own, but the Nexus was nice and spawned them. They've managed to work out how to use the controls. If I've missed a ride you'd love to see, set up a thread for it and have a pup or two of your own run it - lessons in the controls can be happily given offscreen. ;) However, given that the Nexus spawned these rides, there may be a slight risk of LOL or other oddities...
Midway: Where the games are found. Pay for a turn, test your luck or skill, and possibly win a prize. Setting up one of these could be a good way for your pup to make summer pocket change. Playing one could be a good way to get a plushie present for a friend. Smaller non-stage acts and street entertainment can also go here, if you'd rather have a tip jar and see what the crowd gives instead of having a stage act.
Bazaar: The flea market section. There's a lot of room over here, and NPCs will provide pavilions and such offscreen to keep the summer heat at bay. Does your pup have things to unload? Or want to shop around and see what might be available from other worlds? Craft items, common items from a pup's universe of origin, or even just old junk out of the attic...
There's THNMY all over this, so if you come in a week late, go right ahead and jump in anyway! Be part of the event or part of the crowd, it's up to you. The important thing is to have fun.))
