A new figure drops into the Nexus. Flashing red and gold it appears to be Iron Man, though his armor is...very different. Hovering slightly above the ground, he glances around, bio-scanners taking the new place. His GPS doesn't seem to be working. Hmm. It's then that he catches sight of the sign. There's a pause during which he sems to raise a brow

"Another one?" Sorry Tony, she can't help herself.

"I'd choose the third option."

"In the river? Odd. Well, I haven't seen any Hulks go by lately."

[iron_man_reborn]

"He attacked one of my facilities. There was a short skirmish and we fell into the river. I lost track of him."

He nods. "That's a relief. He's not the most sociable of creatures."

[vicioussweetie]

"Oh, no, I meant it's odd that the river isn't pouring through whatever portal brought you here. Unless it only responds to life signs or something. But then wouldn't there be a pile of fish?" She looks extremely puzzled by all this.

"Well, I'm sure you'll find him."

[iron_man_reborn]

"Well, I'd just come up into an air pocket inside a cave formation. Viola, found myself here."

"Of some trace of him at least."

"Ah. That makes more sense." She smiles, rubbing the back of her head. "Sorry, trying to figure out how this place works is sorta hobby. Two years plus and I still haven't really got a clue."

"I think if you could figure out how it worked it wouldn't nearly be so much fun, right?"

He glances around at the assorted people and places. "Besides, isn't it in the nature of a nexus to be perpetually changing?"

"Perhaps. But sometimes it's the process of searching, and not the destination, that's important."

"Truer words were never spoken. Though sometimes the end result is just as good."

[vicioussweetie]

"And sometimes not. Not all things are the same, especially not for all people."

[iron_man_reborn]

"That's something I've been learning lately."

[vicioussweetie]

"Lots of people have trouble with it. I sure do."

[iron_man_reborn]

"I think it's built into us. Y'know, herd instict? A subconscious need for uniformity? That sorta thing."

[vicioussweetie]

"Maybe. I've always thought it was the innate selfishness we all struggle with. Maybe it's some of each. It's probably a lot of things. People are complicated."

"But being complicated is what makes us so fun, no?"

[vicioussweetie]

"Yup!" She grins.
