She doesn't think about it. She wakes up from the nightmare still afraid, and activates the PINpoint to take her somewhere she feels safe

"My gun." Kouryuu glances down at her, his eyebrows raised slightly. His tone is somewhat dry, which might make it hard to tell exactly how serious his answer is supposed to be.

[dream_departed]

Still half-asleep, she mistakes his voice for the Sanzo she knows.

"Yeah, like that's a surprise," she answers in a bratty tone. Then she looks up at him. And keeps looking.

He raises an eyebrow at the reply, but says nothing about it. He returns the stare, apparently completely unperturbed. "Have we met?"

Aya smiles. "Apparently not." She tries to finger comb her sleep-mussed hair. When her fingers get caught on a tangle she blushes a bit more and pulls them out. She bows. "I'm Aya. It's a pleasure to meet you."

Knowing that God is there, watching over me, and you, and everyone, brings me great comfort. With Him there, what is there to fear?

There is a sudden gasp, then a tight-lipped expression of shock as if he had just thrown a bucket of ice water in her face.

Is something wrong, Aya?

For several moments, she does not actually make real words.

Her face scrunches up in an expression that doesn't know if it wants to be anger or terror.

"Are you still going to try kill my family? Because you contacted me here!"

[silver_general]

"My partner Zack makes me feel safe. As for what scares me...Jenova does."

[dream_departed]

"I very pleased for you that you have found someone who makes you feel that way." She smiles and inclines her head a little.

"I'm afraid I don't know who or what that is."

[silver_general]

"Jenova is a powerful alien entity whose cells were used to create me. As a result, she can control me and make me a prisoner in my own mind."

[dream_departed]

She almost flinches. She has some experience being trapped in her own mind. "She needs to be stopped."

A smile and a wave. It was very much a long-time-no-see!

"Coffee. A warm blanket. What scares me...I reckon y' know this 'ready, an' it's still a long list."

Smile and wave? Nooo. Hugs?! Please?!

"Mmm... 'that warm brown mama'. Yeah, coffee is great." She stifles a yawn. "I would really love some right now."

A hug would be perfection.

"I got some in m' purse, in a thermos." She searched!

Then there is perfection.

"Victor, words cannot properly express the ways in which I love you." She flops back on the couch.

[deadly__whisper]

She grinned, "My brothers make me feel safe, being surrounded by friends make me feel safe."

She shrugged, "I used to be afraid of the dark, I mean seriously afraid of the dark. And I guess I'm afraid of being alone. I've been surrounded by people my whole life, to be cut off from them would kill me."

[dream_departed]

Aya stares for a seconds, staying quite still.

She becomes very animated all at once and starts to bounce on the couch.

"Oh my gosh! Me too! On everything!" She grins. "It's like we were separated at birth."

[deadly__whisper]

She laughed, "No way?"

She flopped down on the couch beside her, "That's strange."

She looked at Aya, "Aya, you don't look good, what's been going on?"

"Yep! I think it's pretty cool." Aya scoots closer.

"Come on! I just woke up." As evidenced by the pillow creases on her cheeks. In a quieter tone, she admits, "I have been having bad dreams. Kaa taught me how to meditate so I don't have them, but I've been finding it really hard to concentrate."
