So, say you offered a friend some advice on how to...more diplomatically handle a particular situation. And say that friend took your advice to a ridiculous extreme and did something that was, quite frankly, pretty dumb and that sets a bad precedent. How do you express this to your friend without sounding like you're contradicting your earlier advice?
