A dark form is crouched on a ledge, wings half open as it surveys the Nexus. After a moment, it speaks.

"How does one ensure one's own survival when one's host will not let one protect the host?"

While distorted, it's undeniably Vincent's voice. But it's not Vincent speaking.

"Is it necessary to have a host anyway?" Despite the fact that he's wearing a blindfold he is clearly looking up at Chaos. Maybe he doesn't need his eyes?

"Without a host, this one is nothing." Chaos isn't at all disturbed by the unseeing sight. It has seen odder things.

"That's not a good reason." Chaos might notice his stance shifting slightly - tensing up as if he's getting reqady to fight if he has to.

"It is this one's reason. It matters not what you think." Chaos notes the movement, but isn't worried. It knows about the AV field.

Taron: I'd suggest finding a new host. The host has a right to decide what its situation is.

May I ask whether or not the host is willing to have you?

Chaos makes a displeased sound. "This one cannot find a new host. This one was joined with the host, and the joining cannot be undone unless one of us dies."

As for the second question, it shrugs, wings rustling slightly. "The host has not said whether he is or not." Mostly the truth.

Taron: That's very interesting. We don't have creatures like you where I come from. How did you join with him?

Any idea how to find out?

"A scientist joined us to save the host."

"This one can ask the host. When he is more coherent and in less shock."

"Diplomacy does not work when the host does not believe this one is a separate entity."
