Once more, Elisa is in the Nexus. And once again, she's brought one of her Clanmates with her. In this case, it comes in the form of a slightly hefty aquamarine Gargoyle with large, flared ears. He's also carrying a pair of large trays of cupcakes, which he sets down on a convinient Nexus table.
"Nice place, Elisa," he says.
"Told you you'd like it, Broadway," she says. "Broadway, Nexus. Nexus, Broadway."
She throws something of her own down on another Nexus table. It looks to be a couple of pages from comic books (
page 1,
page 2). "Found these the other day, somewhere abouts in the Nexus. Little bit of some other reality leaking in, I guess. Pretty meaningless, really. Obviously fiction. But given what I've seen here... Fiction just means it's reflecting some reality."
She hesitates. "I'm just... I'm bothered by it. A lot. My own life turned out pretty differently, of course. Though I remember starting a pretty similiar conversation once. Turned out a lot better. So why am I bothered by it so much? And is it all right to go thinking a potential alternate of yours is an idiot?"
Broadway also starts to speak. "First off, I've got cupcakes! Fresh baked. No... what did Elisa call them? El oh els? Just cupcakes."
The big Gargoyle sighs. "I know you guys've met Angela. And I know Elisa's probably told you about her and me. I love her. A lot. But... I dunno. She's wonderful. Amazing. Everything anyone would want in a mate, in a partner. And I know she loves me. But I can't help but think... who am I to deserve someone like her?"
((Heh. If ever there was a time to try and invoke a more "normal" alt of Elisa... Or more Gargoyles in general. More Gargoyles are always good.))
((EDIT: The mun is off to bed. Further replies (and the couple already here I'm just too crashy to repond coherently too) will be caught tomorrow.))
BACK!
