This tall gentleman is certainly looking assured of himself today.

Casting an amused glance over the assembled Sages, he leans back against a convenient Lamp-post and brushes his heavy black hair out of his face before shrugging and looking thoughtful.

"Will you kill for those you love?"

Despite his resolution, despite his fear, despite the damn Rider, Enzan was here. More specifically, he was as far as he could get from Blaze while still being able to talk to him.

"Is there a reason why I am needed outside of it?"

V2 turned and looked down at Enzan, "I know Enzan. I'm sorry if I am making you upset."

Blaze gave Enzan the briefest of glances before continuing. The the brat was going to be obstinate, there was little reason to speak with him at the moment.

Shrugging, he favoured V2 with a little smile.

"Midnight's former master has been entertaining me lately. I just might have to -- creatively bend that statement of mine that I intended to leave he and yours alone."

V2 grew tense, "What? Why? Leave Blues alone! There is no reason to go after him again!"

Blaze snorts, looking disappointed and mildly disgusted at the same time.

"Of course there isn't."

"But his operator will likely be stalking after him, and he could probably use a lesson or two in hospitality."

One dark lifts.

"Did you think I was about to go back on my word?"

V2 placed a hand on Enzan's shoulder and relaxed, "Then I don't exactly understand."

Blaze gave Enzan a withering stare.

"Are you deaf or simply that damned stupid, boy?"

Turning away, Blaze shrugged and addressed V2 again.

"Understand it this way, then; I said that I had no interest in making away with you or Midnight. This is still true."

"But if you happen to be in the way when I slap that meddling puppy back into his kennel, I can't help that -- and if he happens to be in your precious 'Reality Vanish' at the time, I don't care."

"Try not to leap out of your skin if you see me. You aren't my priority."

There's nothing I can do. Enzan looked away, and said nothing. This wasn't his conversation. I don't know what to do.

"All right." V2 wasn't sure what else to say. He looked at Enzan and after a moment of some hesitation, started rubbing his back.

"I'm not about to heave his intestines strewn down a city street, if that's your concern. I'm keeping him out of places he doesn't belong."

After watching V2 try to console Enzan, expression unreadable, he shrugged and continued.

"There's a certain subnetwork he's gotten stubborn about, pretty one."

"I'm going to make him back off in no uncertain terms."
