William Navidson, Pulitzer prize winning photographer, director, and owner of a rather strange house located on Ash Tree Lane opens a door that leads not to the twisting hallways he's used to, but instead to the Nexus. Stepping inside, he appears startled to discover the latest doorway in his anomalous house has brought him to somewhere lit, warm, and occupied. He turns to call back over his shoulder, shouting: "Tom! Reston! You have to-"

But the door slams shut of its own will, and he's stuck inside the Nexus. He seems to panic for a moment, banging on the door, but when it doesn't budge, he turns back to the Nexus. He sees the sign, how can you not see the sign?

"A... question? This... this is new." He glances around in fascination. "...I suppose I should follow the rules of this place."

He steps forward, panning his camera across the Nexus.

"So, for that question... what do you do about a house that's bigger on the inside than the outside?"

((Okay, for everyone who's read House of Leaves, this Navidson is after his solo explorations but before the other explorations- I guess he dodged in here without Karen knowing. I'll try to keep this post fairly book spoiler low, but WARNING: SPOILERS FOR THE NOVEL will probably occur. Faint ones. Ones you can learn off the inside cover.

I blame this on all of you who told me to read the book many months ago. Have fun with Navy.))
