"What in the hell gives some people the idea that they have some sort of right to act like they're better than others? Like, say, money or power or breeding makes them so gods damned superior to those who don't have it? The rich and powerful are exactly the same as the poor and weak. They just have more money and power. They're not better. More fortunate, maybe, but better? Hell, I'd rather spend time with theives and murders than that lot." He snorts softly.
"I'm not even going to let myself get started on their attitudes towards the, what was it, 'subhumans?' Ha. Hell, I hate dwarfs and trolls and all of them, but I work with them on a daily basis. I have a right. And some of them make damn fine coppers, I'll have you know."
He gestures with his ever-present cigar. "I can't stand those kinds of people. Hell, I can't stand most kinds of people. Really. Are they just stupid? Or is there some huge underlying fault in the human mind that effects us all?"
