LJ used to be my primary means of electronic social networking.  It has since been superseded by FB.  Not because FB is better; but because more people use it, and it is designed to do things like sort party invites and whatnot with greater seamlessness (although I don't doubt many would disagree with that assessment - however, for a Luddite like

I can't say I have any experiences to match that. Spectacular! I'm glad you enjoyed it to its fullest.

I'm going to have to echo Vinnie's sentiments in that i've reconnected with people from years past and simply found we no longer have anything in common, and the conversation doesn't go far beyond the initial catch-up phase before becoming "so... you like.. stuff?"
