Nathan Fillion, TV, and movies

Nov 08, 2006 22:48

Nathan Fillion was a guest star on Lost tonight! His character was a little too happy and normal to remind me of Mal, and I haven't seen Slither, but I suspect his Lost character was probably more closely related to that Slither guy. And his last scene is reminiscent of a certain Saffron-featured Firefly episode. I won't say anything more in ( Read more... )

I want to see Babel. The director is the same guy that did 21 Grams (though I never saw that) and Amores Perros (which you may or may not have seen). I'm pretty sure that it's an artsy violent movies since that's also kind of in his style. However, Gael Garcia Bernal is worth it. *drools* Though I think I like him speaking in Spanish better than when he speaks English. My two cents.

I didn't realize GGB was in Babel -- that certainly tips the scales a bit. ;)

Does he have to have a non-name? Just call him Bob. *nods* Or it's not like we'd know whether or not you used his real name or not. :)

I'm so glad you're feeling better about things now. I remember how much a run used to clear my head. *becomes wistful*

I want to see Happy Feet, but maybe that's not a good date movie? :P

*hugs lots*

Running like a drug for me, for better or worse. I know it's healthy, but at the same time running is pretty hard on my body and I have to be careful.

I think what I really want to do tonight is watch The Office and Grey's Anatomy, not a movie! But I think it's too early for a "let's hang out at my place and watch TV" date... especially because when I say I want to watch those shows, I really actually want to WATCH them, not "watch" them. ;)

*sigh*

Nate and his crinkly eye smiles.

*grins and melts*

T'was nice to see him weren't it?

And it is really unfortunate that we don't know him in person.

*nods*

*huggles*

And I vote for Happy Feet too!

YES! The crinkly eyed smile! *pines* Another unfortunate thing is that it doesn't seem like he could be a recurring character, although I guess anything's possible in the Lost-iverse...

I don't watch Lost so I only watched it to see Nathan, and like you, I was happy to see him.

OK, I admit, I was guh-ing and squeeing with the gals on chat, OK? Geez, beat it out of me.

I'm sending all good vibes to you for next week's interview. We had all sorts of flooding here yesterday but it's nice and sunny today, so I'll send you some of that, too.

(And I'm no help with movies, I rarely go.)

Do you know what other projects Nathan has lined up? I haven't heard much about him lately. But he must be doing OK to land a guest spot on one of the biggest TV shows currently on the air...

Thanks for the interview vibes. I think I need some divine intervention while you're at it -- is that in your powers? ;)

I'm afraid my captainy powers only extend so far, but I'll see what I can do. ;)

Uh, Nathan, let's see. Nothing blockbustery. "White Noise 2" (*shrugs*) comes out in January. The indy movie "The Waitress" was made a while ago, still hasn't been released. Why is this man not getting the big offers? *scratches head* He's such a better actor than the usual Hollywood retreads. (I don't watch much TV, but when I do, I am dismayed to see the same mediocre actors and actresses over and over.)

I still think he's Harrison Ford: The Next Generation. White Noise 2 ... normally my reaction would be "eh" but one of my other favorite actors is also starring in it -- Katee Sackhoff from Battlestar Galactica. She's awesome. OMG, maybe they'll become friends and he'll end up on Battlestar Galactica!!!! *goes into happy dreamland*

Who did he play? Kate's husband?

I really want to see Bobby, but that doesn't come out for another week or so.

Yup, Kate's husband.

I haven't even heard of Bobby -- what is it about?

Oooooh, that looks good! I'm thinking that's a good candidate for a movie to see with the fam during Thanksgiving break...
