So the double-edged sword of life in Sydney is that while I loathe the impersonal crowds and the inner-city arrogance, I love so many other aspects of city life. It's a good thing you don't have Past Times! It's an entire chain devoted to that kind of thing! Though they are perpetually having a sale, which is an endless temptation....

Oh, I heard of such a thing, but never found the Leeds branch. The whole sort of English rose or garden tea party style of dress and accessories is very in right now, at least around these parts, meaning that knock-off pearls and the like are available very cheaply, but it's not really my usual style, however much I kind of wish it was, because I really wanted one of those parasols.

Ah, so that's where you were this weekend. I'm a wee bit jealous that you went to the opera. I've never been. Only seen them on pbs, which has it's own merits, but it's just not the same deal.

Mmm, paintings. Think I'll go visit my local art museum this weekend. :D

FREE opera, too! The only thing keeping me from seeing more is the cost of an opera ticket as compared to other theatre tickets. I really want to see A Little Night Music (is it technically not an opera? Opera Australia is still doing it) later this year but it's on when I'll be overseas.

Art always soothes my soul. Srsly. Go!
