I saw STC's production of A Streetcar Named Desire on the weekend, and I really wanted to gush about how brilliant it was, but it wasn't. It was very good, but it wasn't completely AMAZING. I'd like to see the movie, but will wait for the DVD or when it comes on HBO or whatever.

Of course I will go. I don't think STC tends to tour shows nationally much, so you'll just have to visit me again. Or wait until it makes Harvest Rain's endless rotation. ;)

When I saw Othello with Chiwetel Ejorfor and Ewan McGregor the audience (me too) was laughing at a lot of dark lines. A friend was adament that the darkness was funny, but I'm inclined to believe that it was because Ewan McGregor was being evil. Don't get me wrong, I think that he did a great job- chilling, intelligent, ruthless- but it's because it was Ewan.
