A kind of late assessment

I am (almost) freed from the tyranny of Latin, which is a huge relief. I am enrolled for the sequel subject for next semester, but at this point I've had about as much Latin as I can take, and surely as much as I could ever need, so I hope to be able to get out of it. I mean, it was self-inflicted to begin with, but I was just pre-empting the ( Read more... )

Forty Winks! I just went in and told the sales guy I wanted a bed for as cheap as possible, and we did a deal since I could pay that day. Rather than the bedframe and mattress option I am getting an ensemble, and just a single since my bedroom is too small for a double with my desk in there, and my desk is vital. :s I figure it will be fine for however long I am doing the share-housing thing, and then I can ditch it or move it to a spare room when I have my own house. :D

Wicked again is a must -- you'll have to come back for that. :p And Mamma Mia too, and whatever else is coming... but I also want to see more plays and local stuff, not just the big-budget musicals. Am hopefully seeing an STC play next week!

Great! I'm really pleased. My flatmate isn't around much but we get on fine when he is. We have to get some more furniture and figure out cleaning arrangements, but aside from that, it's all good.

I would love to but it's expensive and probably sold out already. Stuff she's in always does. But I'll look into it.

Your entry has an intersting Pagan theme to it in little and large ways.

And I'm stopping there, soon oft to bed.

Funny you should say that. I'm feeling very Catholic these days, but also a little pagan/hippie, and really, at the points where they intersect in my life they may as well be the same thing. My friend who loves the juice always talks about the universe and I talk about God, and essentially we mean the same thing.

They intercect in a big way....Goddess the catholics call Mary.

And please. Don't call it hippy anything. It's insulting termed that way.

"It may take me a while as I have to force myself to make time for leisurely reading these days, especially as one cannot (to my dismay) read and knit at the same time."

Audio books. It's gotta be done!

Your post is very Jewish today by the way. I can almost smell that kosher meat.

Others have suggested audio books, but I really do not hear as well as I read. I'm very visual in that I prefer to see the words written in front of me (this is why I usually have the subtitles on when watching TV), but maybe I'd hear better if I forced myself to do it more. Something to think about!

Ha! Much <3 for you.

You've been away for weeks and that's all you can say to me! I have three more words for you, missy: not good enough.

Oh noes! And I made you miss Ballet Shoes. Or did you wind up catching it anyway? It's raining here, again. I hate it. It's depressing. I would never make it in UK or anywhere north and coastal. Bugger.

In other news, I still have not sent you a birthday gift. If it makes you feel better (and it probably won't), my friend hasn't given me a b-day gift yet either. Since January. !!!

I saw it! It was cute, it was fun. Tropical summer rain used to be okay. This weird endless drizzle is not okay.

Did I even manage to send you a birthday gift? Don't worry, because I'm not worrying either. :D
