I've spent the past few days (and nights, embarrassingly enough-- I have no mad skills in computer savvy-osity) trying to properly format and lay out the collection's damage assessment, which means moving what can amount to 70 pages or more of hooey (my notes, pointers to thumbnails of images and to full-size images of each object in the collection

That's just not right--sounds like someone didn't do their job properly, which of course means that you get extra work you shouldn't have had to worry about >:( ugh, feeling your pain. Sending you a hug.

The folks in question are former executives (one, I think, is a former mayor). They honestly didn't know that their work was lacking, and that I would have to put in a lot of extra hours to get it ready (I am the one with museum experience).

It makes me growly and deprives me of sleep, but it is the kind of work I like to do: I just prefer to do it without the ridiculously imposed deadline.

I have been wondering about you a lot, TwoCents. Hubby actually asks me about you whenever he hears the kind of bouncy hip-hop music you like to clean house to, sweetie that he is. I should write to you with kitty cat pictures and general gossip.

Ah--in that case, then, I guess my anger is abated a bit, but I still think it's awful that you have to get stuck with the extra work in the end :(. Well, at least it's not because of some willful slacker--as long as the attitude is in the right place, I guess it's not so bad.

I'm doing ok :) lots of work and kinda want winter break RIGHT NOW, but I can hang in there a few more months, I suppose. Yes, bouncy music is the best! Esp cheesy hip-hop. Kitty cat pictures and gossip are always welcome! I should send you some as well if I can scrounge up any. Say hi to Hubby for me :D
