Wow. Boy, did *that* come out of the left field! I must admit I didn't pay too much attention to the Pairing notes. I'm kinda glad I didn't. It's packs a much harder wallop when it's unexpected.
"Elizabeth knew how she sounded, and for once Rodney seemed to have picked up on someone else’s mood. He was quiet for a long time."
That last sentence was so perfect as to the impact on Rodney.
I can see how Rodney might have sent Elizabeth to find out whether the rumors were true it or not, and that he was really hoping no, they weren't. Sort of. Because a) No, well not going to be interested in males, specifically Rodney; or b) Yes, then Sheppard was bi but still not with Rodney. :breaks heart:
Of course, the truly horrible scenario would be if John and Rodney were actually together and closeted but then John starts cheating on Rodney with Jacobs (why????) and Rodney sends Elizabeth in to find out if the cheating is going on.
I for one can't wait for your update and hope it's just a horrible misunderstanding (pretty please!)
Thanks. I'm glad you liked the twist, I wanted it to be a surprise (because it surprised me when I was writing it), but it was pointed out that some people sisn't like John with anyone else.
I've written some of the rest already, and I know how it's going to end; it's just a matter of writing it up and posting, hopefully I'll get it done by tomorrow night, if I don't have part two up tonight. Definitely by Monday though as I have a day off. You'll just have to wait and see what happens.
Thanks, I 'm working on the rest now, but I have a busy weekend so I might not be able to post it. Can't even make the deadline of my own challenge. Hope you're planning on writing something.
