My suggestion? Find some kind of fun exercise thing you can do. Whether it be joining a gym, or squash club, or just going for a run a couple of times a week. Apparently exercise is good for you - and will also increase serotonin levels in your brain (supposedly) so could help make you feel happier too. :D Just don't forget that there's a massive difference between being overweight and being underfit. One doesn't matter, the other does.
