ahh.... if it weren't so hot this week, I'd say I miss it! ;)

It's the marching band, learning how to march together, of course! Every eight steps, they step on one of the lines painted on the grass every five yards (where they shout LINE!), just to help reinforce the step size in their minds.

Someday I'll have to find my old college marching band videos and put them online. Marching band was truly a fine and pleasant misery.

We never said anything like that when we were in marching band. We just had the director howling at us over a loudspeaker.

Ugh. Marching in Texas heat in the summer during the hottest part of the day (4 pm) ... with no water breaks, no rest, and pushups bare-handed on the hot cement...

Yeah, no wonder I quit my final year.
