Guys, has Doctor Who Season 4 premiered already on SciFi channel? Because I just walked through the downstairs common room on my way to make dinner, and I saw a commercial on the TV for an upcoming Who episode with Donna as the Companion. I thought we wouldn't be seeing those for a long time, so I'm really surprised. I'm not even done with Season 3 ( Read more... )

Yes, it has started :) I managed to catch an episode last Friday.. I'm not sure if it was the first or not, but it's definitely a new season. :)

Yep! And the new season is awesome so far.. imo. Of course you should see it for yourself :) It's on episode 4 in england, I think it's a couple eps behind in the US.

I've watched up to episode 4, thanks to the internet (off of irc) xD

The Internet is a wonderful thing. :) So you like Season 4? I saw the Christmas special/premiere thing, but I haven't seen any actual episodes yet (because I didn't know they were on in America, and also because I haven't finished S3 yet). How is Donna as the Companion? I didn't like her very much in "The Runaway Bride," so I'm really skeptical of her as a full-time cast member. (Then again, I had my hangups about Martha as well, and while she pales in comparison to Rose, from what I've seen of her she's not that bad, so it's possible I could change my mind about Donna too.)

Oh, I agree. I didn't care much for Runaway Bride either. I mean Tate's character wasn't very likable AND the plot was kind of.. well not one of the better ones. I was pleasantly surprised when I actually liked Donna in the very first episode. I still haven't decided where she stands in relation to Rose and Martha though (whom I both liked quite a bit) but she's definitely a different sort of companion.. (in a good way I think)

Anyway the first three episodes have been very enjoyable (I haven't seen the latest one even though I have it on my computer because of finals xd) So, I think that was a long winded way of saying, yes you should watch season 4 :)

I'm glad to hear that. I should have known when they introduced her like that in "Runaway Bride" that we hadn't seen the last of her. ;) Characters never seem to be gone for good on this show- which can be a good thing!

I'm excited about Season 4 in general. I've resumed working my way through S3, and it's a great distraction from finals. ;)

Haha, I bet you will. ;) I can't wait for those days! When Florence gets back we still have to exchange birthday/Christmas gifts.
