Aaaaaand I still have the urge to punch someone in the face when they use the term Mary-Sue.

Esspecially when they use it towards my favorite Author of all time right now

Oh no. I am sorry. That sucks when people dont' like the same books as you. I say punch them in the face you will feel better.

Oh it's not that they didn't like the same book.

I was looking at reviews for a book Mercedes Lackey wrote, something about native americans and spiritual power. The very first comment was some person "I was really surprised, Most of Lackey's female characters are Mary Sue's!"

Really? Like Who? Tarma? Kerowyn?

Not to mention I HATE the term Mary Sue in general. Yeah, I know where it came from, and I to got tired of strong female characters suddenly going weak in the knees and eye fluttery at the sight of brown eyes or a stubbly chin.

But NOW every single time a girl even has the slightest girly tendency fans start screaming hysterically about mary sue's and how the characters are SO UNORIGINAL.

Fuck Them.

There are women out there with strong mothering instincts. There are girls who like long baths and to paint their nails. Love and Lust can cause emotional distress. This doesn't cause a character to be a mary sue.
