Time to start making our own.

But, if the salmonella is coming from the water used to irrigate the crops, the cattle industry needs to change the way they feed the cows and dispose of their manure.

So we'd need to grow our own peanuts first.

too bad they don't make manure collection and use of methane fuel a requirement for all cattle farms.

It's probably from the factory itself. When Peter Pan peanut butter was recalled a few years ago it was because of a drippy pipe in the ceiling contaminating the mixing vats. I believe it was even the same processing company, though it was in Georgia, not Tennessee.

this peanut butter is from a georgia facility owned by peanut corp.

the tennessee company mentioned in the first linked article is the little debbie manufacturer.

it only applies to products that have peanuts/peanut butter from that company in them, tho, not any name brand jars of peanut butter.

i haven't checked reese's yet, i know they make their own peanut butter, but i forget where they get the peanuts. i guess they could get the peanuts from this company.
