Lindsay, Even if you had sex with only 6 people, you're also having sex with everyone they've ever had sex with too. If you had sex with 1 person, but they had sex with several people before you, then you're automatically inheriting their sexual activities and putting yourself at risk. Getting checked for STD's is always a good idea, at least once a year, unless you've been in a monogamous relationship for a very long time...AND...the person in the relationship with you HAS ALWAYS been monogamous in your relationship too. Don't be upset that it was suggested, it's a smart thing to do, just for your own peace of mind. You could be totally innocent, but, the person you've had sex with could be promiscuous..remember, you're not just sleeping with ONE person - you're sleeping with that person's history too. Always put yourself first, never second, when it comes to your health*
