Interesting to note, hemispheral dominance is a bit of a new age extrapolation of great successes of science regarding hemispheral specialization. That is, it is known that the two sides of the cortex can account for some degree of specialization; language mostly left, holistic processes mostly right. Some people however, took this finding as saying also you can 'grow' specialisation, and there would be such a thing as hemispheral preference. Same thing for the preference for processing. It might be true, though it's a long shot... the clinical generalization from this made up cognitive phenomenon to behavioural data is, however, sucked right out of the thumb of some bored psychologist or lay-man.
