Daemon can be found in the main room, reading a book of plays. He'd really wanted coffee, but decided against it, as the lack of plotholes is a frustrating thing. So he decided to read a play called Hamlet, he's never heard of the author before, of course, but it sounded interesting. He's deeply engrossed in the book, but would probably be

And so John will walk in with sheet music under his arm, going to the piano, noticing Daemon. He doesn't ignore Daemon--he never ignores anyone in his presence, particularly attractive men--but he holds off on approaching for a space. Instead, he sits at the piano and warms up his fingers briefly with a few standard arpeggios, and then goes on to a dark, moody song from the musical that he's writing. It's terribly appropriate for Hamlet, actually.

Daemon raises an eyebrow and continues reading, half-paying attention to the music. He glances at John, enough to note that he's a landen, probably no threat to him, but he's still wary. At a pause in the music, he finally speaks. "You're very good. I never had much talent with musical instruments."

Amused, he answers, "I've been playing since I was young. You've probably got talents of your own."

"None in the performing arts area, unfortunately." Well, not that kind of performing, anyway. He sets his book down and gives John a polite smile. "I don't think we've met. I am Daemon Sadi."
