It is Sunday, do you know where that random collection of things I feel the need to talk about is?

So, with the happy making:

- vsee's dS rec-a-thon . vsee (and others) will be donating $1 to various humane societies for every rec'er who posts (up to 50, so there are still spots left if you want to join in). Yay for happy making fics, a great cause, and recapturing our fandom joy. *hugs dS fen*.

You and your wife exchanging LJ comments whilst sitting on the same sofa makes me eyes like this ♥___♥ Shuddup, I'm hormonal.

But yay for loooooooooooong and interesting answers. I'm especially intrigued by your accent meta and now insanely curious what you would make of my accent... The obvious Finnish accent (South-West) but also via North-East of England, then Liverpool (scouse) and now Mancunian... Hee!

We are gigantic dorks - we are aware of this. If gets even stranger when we start having these conversations on other people's LJ comments....(she going out of town for the whole week! *pouts*)

I really have only a vague and academic understanding of non-US accents (and it's been YEARS since any of these classes were fresh in my mind), so you would likely just sound "nifty", though I am pretty skilled at "guess that accent".

I love how sounding "different" makes people sound more real.

What an interesting way to put it! Must ponder this :)

Dollhouse 1.2 bothered me a bit as well, but I'm still watching. And I have to admit it was kinda awesome to see Matt Keeslar playing a psycho.

I listen to more podfic than "real" audiobooks partially because I get bored with the commonplace "neutral American" accent - sure, it's a bit odd, for a few minutes, to have a woman from New Zeland read to me about Sam and Dean's adventures in what is pretty much my own backyard, but it's got this cool "fandom is universal" feel to it, too.

I admit, I had to google Keeslar (Middlemen is on my too watch list, but there's a lot of stuff first!). It was a great performance - possible TOO good for comfort!

I keep hoping the show will kick in for me - I've been watching out of loyalty and curiosity, but I'm not really engaging with it on an emotional level. Its great that people seem to be talking about it intelligently, but I need to have that "OMFG! SHOW! <3!" reaction, too.
