this log.
Both audio and video of this transmission are on, but the view leaves something to be desired. A white ceiling, half of which is obstructed by a smudge of blood.
The voice quality is top notch however and some may be able to recognise

Holy shit, dude. Did you get hit by a bus?

When Philip finally answers he at first only looks at the video, slowly blinking a few times with his one eye that isn't swollen shut.
His voice already sounds slurred and whatever injury he received to his face isn't helping coherence either. ]
Did... did I?
[ It sounds like a genuine question. ]

Damn, Phil.
[The lighting is dim, wherever Philip is, so it's hard to see most of the damage the way he'd like to. From what Dean can get out of the video feed, though, it's pretty bad.]
You look like you got in a fight with a grizzly bear and lost. What happened?

Phil... Philip.
[ He breathes a sigh of relief. Glad he could at least clear that point up. ]
{ Awww, too bad. Still think you should've just renamed the whole package Clarence. Got a much nicer ring to it, don't you think? }
[ Cringe.
And.
Right.
That other question.
He shakes his head slowly. ]
I don't... I don't know.

Processing..
Immediately jump to worst case scenario.*
Holy shit. Are you.. Did I.... are.... You gonna be okay?

He tries to put a face and a name to the voice, but this is a little above his mental processing ability right now. ]
Who-- Who's this?
Reply
Jesus, you okay?

[ He's still talking. That's a start, right? Apart from that there's mostly the moderate concussion which sort of makes it difficult to elaborate on his present state... or recall how he came to be in it in the first place. ]
I've... got a headache.
[ Well. That is... uhm... one way to answer that. ]

Hey--
[ Sofia was the last person at the communicator, and more than that she's the person who always knows what to do, so it makes sense to contact her. ]
Sof, what happened? Is he okay?
Reply
It seems he was attacked by somebody in the corridor, but I cannot say more and he is in no condition to recall.
...Is he a friend of yours?
Reply
[ Under suspiciously masked circumstances CAN THEY NOT GO INTO THIS PLEASE?
Then he realises what she said. No condition to recall. Evasiveness sharpens into a focused look, one that's taken a small bit of information and is trying not to run a mile with it. ]
He's what? Why not?

[ Said in an insistently reassuring voice that makes a very elaborate guess about the conclusion Alex's mind just jumped to. ]

No, he doesn't know where it is, does he?
Shit.
After a lot of fumbling and textbook-consultation, a technologically-impaired Victorian appears on the screen of Philip's bloodied communicator. He stares out with great worry. ]
Hello? Hello, Philip? Please say you're there?
Reply
At least this one looks to be made of flesh and blood and even has the courtesy and manual dexterity to wipe off the blood on the communication device before responding. ]
This is Doctor Lamb speaking. I'm afraid Philip is a little preoccupied at the moment.
Reply
[ Oh, here we go. He sounds a little skeptical. WOMEN BEING DOCTORS, AMIRITE?
...You know what, there's a more important question here. ]
For- forgive me, but is Philip all right? I should like to speak to him.
Reply
[ The skepticism is filed away as a mere acoustic issue and Lamb chooses to disregard any other interpretation for the sake of saving time. ]
He has suffered multiple injuries, but his condition is stable.
I would prefer not to have him use the communication device in his condition, but you may visit him at the clinic on the fourth floor.
