Things to steal me away...
A) bloody stupid flu and bloody stupid head that doesn't realize when it's time to just stop
B) consideration of returning to school (or similar) and everything that entails
C) social changes.
Before Supernatural comes to lay claim on my time again, I thought of throwing together a list of things I've laid my eyes on ( Read more... )

Aww. Feeling better?

Before Supernatural comes to lay claim on my time again

I'm a bad, selfish friend to be happy you wrote this considering I know how busy you are. *glee*

Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell ... fall asleep within the first five minutes

I bought this book when I was going through my FAT book phase (reading anything huge and what I thought should equate to epic). I've tried reading it about five times and cannot cannot cannot get past page 200. I, too, fall asleep whenever it gets within a two-foot radius of my head. For now it's been shelved as I'm currently going through my SKINNY book phase, the shorter the better. Novellas!

Blessedly, yeah, feeling better. Every time I go outside, though, my throat gets vocal about its hate-hate relationship with dropping temperatures. *hugs*

No, you're not. Just a concerned fellow fan. :)
But I have every intention of continuing my episode-reaction posts with S4. I may not hope for much, but I'm feeling positive.

"Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell" becomes better after the first hundred pages, imo. And my sleepiness was, at least partially, to blame on the flu.
To quote Dorothy Parker, "(it's) not a book to be tossed aside lightly. It should be thrown, with great force."
Save that this book actually really intrigues me.

I know the feeling of "can't concentrate on long stories - GIMME DRABBLES!" or something. I think kids eat the ability to concentrate. :)

Aww, what happened to Shane? *is sad*

I want to see Wall-E! tigris_lilsis saw it at the theater and said I'd like it.

Shane's on the list, too, don't worry. My friend's just been talking so much and so long about Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell that, once I had it in my hands, I couldn't help but start wading through it.

WALL-E's sweeter than words. And so very adorable. I highly recommend it.

I hope you are feeling better babe, it seems the bloody flu has been going around.

I've just had two days off which I used to watch the remainder of my season one marathon on the first day and then read my all time comfort fics on the second day.

I'm totally delighted that you love Top Gear. I've been a big fan for such a long time. The boys are LOVE.

I was less than impress with Hellboy Two. It was good but only good. I was hoping for more.

Feeling better, even if my throat still hates the dropping temperatures outside. It's always the Spring/Fall that brings on the flu, 'twould seem. At least I got rid of (most of) my allergies after I moved in with dear husband...

That, watching a Show-marathon and reading (comfort) fics, sounds like an awesome way to spend free time preceding the premiere. Methinks I might be attempting something similar. :)

Top Gear's bloody great! Those boys are nuts, and Hammond's love of racing is contagious. I don't understand that much about technology far as cars are concerned, but that's why there's the husband. ;)

Hellboy II, what little I paid attention beyond my sulking over the Pale Prince, okay. Good way to kill the time while one's hands are busy.

My allergies always play up at the change of season and have been wrecking havoc with the move from winter to spring. Hee - its so odd to think that you are getting cold just as we finally warm up. How did the move in with the hub help your allergies??

It is the best way to fight off a sickness and pass the time somewhat happy and contently. I thoroughly recommend it.

I might have a wee thing for Hammond. Mostly I just want to tuck him in my pocket and take him out to look at and coo over every now and then. They, all three of them, just have the best dynamic together. And they are just giant boys having fun and getting paid for it!

Moving in with husband helped because before that, I'd lived with a cleaning-up maniac. Since neither one of us is anything close to that, it may be that, y'know, my body just got used to dust. That it figured out it was pointless to waste energy on something as harmless as that.
Or maybe it was the animals; there was a cat and a dog in the house before, whereas we've been busy enough without pets. :)

It's just pure delight to watch those guys really enjoying themselves. The unadulterated glee in Hammond's eyes when he gets on the race track...
*smishes him*

Yay, you're back! I hope you're feeling better, so that that you're in top shape when Thursday Friday comes and we see the boys again.

I kinda liked I, Robot. It's a little, um, polished, but it had potential. And like you said, Will Smith with a cyberarm. ;)

Bested the bloody flu, and there are so many things to be all bouncy and excited about, both in RL and in Supernatural that I'm feeling like the sugar high's never going to wear off. :D

'Polished' is exactly the word I was looking for! Thank you! And yes, I, Robot was that. But then there was a pretty pretty cyberarm. So I'm happy. :)

I just came from seeing Hellboy 2 (five euro day at the cinema) and am confused. The prince didn't get kicked in the nuts. Not in the movie I just saw. I'm glad about that. Perhaps that had been cut out and you saw some sort of version that's been going around in the internets for a while?

I didn't get incest vibes, either. I just got 'overly possessive' and 'strange twins'. But I grant, the vibes could just as well be there, I just didn't see it that way.

The prince was too cool for his own good! At least in the first half of the film. In the library and in the end he wasn't that cool anymore. I think he spoke a bit differently, and his voice was so lovely at first, as was his presence.

And I got to see the Watchmen trailer on the big screen! It's so weird, I'm not a fan and I don't even remember much from the comic, but I got teary-eyed watching it. Impressive things and good music on the background do that for me in the movies.

Well, the prince didn't become the ruler of the world, ergo, he was beaten. But you know how in love I am with people like him... At least it wasn't Hellboy who bested him.
It all probably depends on how one watches the movie, and wincest has lowered my defenses to see incest. It's just so very utterly wrong occasionally. As it should be.

I'm half-afraid of getting all excited over Watchmen, because yeah, it has the potential to be the Best Thing Ever. But it also has the potential of failing. Or rather, I have the potential of becoming all nitpicky and complain about some tiny little detail no one else really thinks that much about. ;)
On the other hand... JDM as the Comedian. I have no doubts about his ability to pull off the character. And I hope they'll be able to do him justice.
