I rarely do memes, because the time I spend on them is time I could be writing. ;)
But this, from tj_smartz over here, I couldn't resist.
And mine?
( Are certainly a curious mix. )
Hmm, I've seen the McManus brothers mentioned somewhere in the SPN fandom and now you mention that rosaries are somehow involved. Maybe I should check the movie out...
Sure, it has its icky spots and questionable things... But the boys are wonderful! And tigriswolf's Winchester-comparison is apt. Take away the bogeymen and replace them with, say, the Mafia, fiddle with the cultural heritage (the Irish blood) a little bit, add a boatload of fucks, and you've got the McManuses.
Besides, it really seems like they were having fun making the movie. That they were working to make real a vision, and not just a way to make money.
This is interesting - you have such a different taste in men/women than me! Number one on my list would've been Raistlin - never mind that he wouldn't be interested in the fact and I doubt would exactly be a considerate lover. He has no say. He is hot.
One woman on my list would no doubt be Aeryn Sun from Farscape. Though I have to admit that it has less to do with the character's traits and more with the looks of the actress.
But Warlock! \o/ (Julian Sands on kumma mies.)
Baron Von Glower? I have to say I look like a big question mark here. I just recently played that game and Baron was... a bit weird... or something. In my books.
Juri wanted to say that he approves of your first two choices ("a strong start"). :)
I've noticed that my taste in men has been...changing. Seems like the older I get, the more pronounced the feminine traits become; I want my men to be men. I want a guy big enough to hold me. And there's so much more than just the looks to consider before I'd bed anyone...
Raist as your number one isn't a surprise at all. Despite his character traits that, yeah... no lover material, really. Even if there was that one weird Irda. ;) Did you happen to know that 'they' made an animation film out of Dragonlance, btw?I haven't seen enough Farscape to really form an opinion beyond liking Crichton, if only for his "Humans are superior!"-comment and questionable state of sanity. And that Chiana rocked. Aeryn Sun, alas, made no real impression on me. I remember her, but just as a face. No idea of her backstory, beyond the fact that she's a warrior
( ... )
Yep, I know about the animation. Couldn't really look at it more than for a brief trailer, because it looked pretty awful...
Yeah, Aeryn Sun's character is perhaps a bit forgettable. But those clothes... Anyway, perhaps her character from Pitch Black would work better. Btw, Yuri liked Chiana, too. :)
Went looking for it on YouTube after running across the DVD in a shop. And thanked all the stars after realizing that it wasn't a live-action flick... because Kiefer Sutherland as Raist? So much just plain No, imo.
Don't think I've seen Pitch Black, so can't comment. *makes note to hunt the flick down and watch*
That's the big brother I know. We've tended to like the same female characters. And Chiana kicked ass.
And yeah, my hands, my rosary. I have indecent amount of love for those beads. We had a fun little evening, trying to get a decent photograph. It turned out great, methinks. :)
Oh now I love your list. And dude HOW THE FUCK DID I MISS THE MCMANUS BOYS IN MY LIST? I fail at being a proper incestous-catholic-irish-brother fangirl. And now I really want to watch that movie again.
I love how your list is full of glorious manly men. They are my favorite type....
I did wonder briefly about your reasons for leaving the boys out of your list... You are just far, far too promiscuous for your own good, girl. ;)
Let's blame the primal parts for the fascination with the manly men, 'kay? Because intellectually I'm drooling after dancers and delicately built guys. It's the aesthetics. But rugged and ready is good... funny thing is that I've had a het-dream of JDM, while Jared and Jensen/Sam and Dean have only been all over each other... Don't mind me and my mental issues. I'm confusing the beauty with the sex appeal again.
Though I'm not sure how 'manly' the Baron, Warlock, Father Kiernan and Julian Luna are... Imo, Mark Frankel (Julian Luna's actor) could've gone and played dear Mr Ackles' elder brother on DoOL or something... too bad he went and died.
And a resounding Hell, Yes!!! to watching Boondock Saints again.
*tries to blush but grins instead* Oh, I am I know. Such a tart! Perhaps that is it. I just don't want to tear those glorious Irish boys away from each other so didn't think it fair to put them on my list. Hmmm by that reasoning then I need to take Dean and Sam, House & Wilson, Bones & Brennan off the list too. *face palms*
Ah but that is the beauty of men, there are so many different types to appreciate. I am a little bit fond of the dancers and delicate types myself. Though at the end of the day - give me a MAN. Oh and dude to have a het dream about JDM...... *wishes*
Oh but they are. Look at them - they are not delicate - they are just lithe and built. Hmmmmm and anyone who can play Eric Brady's older brother is goooooodddd in my book.
The most enjoyable part about that JDM-dream was that I didn't realize I was dreaming until just before waking up. So, yeah... *dreams some more* I swear, that Watchmen-movie? He's so gonna steal the whole damn show. ;)
"Lithe and built" - I'll happily go with that! :D Goddamn you, woman. Because now I'm thinking about DoOL/RPS-AU-thingie in which Eric Brady has an elder brother played by Mark Frankel, and Jensen/Mark... And I know practically nothing about that bloody soap! Rest once in a while, dearly beloved Porn Muse. :) *hugs*
The effect Gabriel Byrne has on me borders on perverse, because he's honestly older than my father would be. And then they went and cast him as a priest in a movie (Stigmata) I adore. LJ: bringing out your perversions since...um...1999?
