OTP of the week: chocolate/caramel

OMG, someone drag me away from my new favorite thing: caramel Hershey kisses. Their siren song calls to me across the Dean's Office, beckoning me off the straight and narrow and leading me down their garden path to an o, so delicious hell. (was that enough cliches for you?) Might I say, yum ( Read more... )

Haverford T-shirt sighting! blueeyedgroupie October 26 2004, 13:45:14 UTC
Guess what, cousin!
This has little or nothing to do with your post, but would you believe that in the Wal-Mart on Siegen in BR I saw a girl who was wearing what I am 99.9 per cent certain was a Haverford T-Shirt! Unfortunately, she disappeared before I had a chance to comment on it.
But small world, huh? Do you know anyone there with any kind of Louisiana connection?

Well, believe it or not, there are other emissaries here at the Ford from our great land! One of them is even from the BR area, so perhaps a sibling? Small world, no less. :)

Cool! I wonder where they went to high school? Incidentally, I also know people who know people who went to St. John's!

I love your icon, btw. Three cheers for English Majors. Ah yes, the reading. I've... done... that. *scurries away because of the lies*

*scoffs* Why, yes, of course I've finished my thesis proposal! Did it yesterday. Tonight the plan is to work in the library until midnight closing and read the books I checked out months ago, so that my annotated bibliography will be varied and exciting.

*collapses from the effort*

Now I've got that song in my head! Thanks a lot! ;)

In other ESC news, I showed a bit of their Henry V to my class today, which seemed to go over pretty well (I piqued their interest by telling them that Michael Pennington had been in Return of the Jedi ;) ). They're seeing more of it Thursday, because I'm going to show them Branagh's version of the Harfleur ultimatum and then Pennington's.

I love teaching this play -- it means that my frequent Shakespeare movie-watching counts as class prep... ;)
