the drums will shake the castle wall, the ring wraiths ride in black

I take it as a great personal accomplishment that I am not yet dead. I've finally come back from spending too much time in a weird and unhappy emotional place- the worst of it hit when I was alone in the new flat and there was no one around to pat my head and tell me things would be ok. Lovely members of my flist are lovely, but I've been spoiled ( Read more... )

Okay, I’m exhausted right now (and why do I only ever comment on your posts when I’m like this???) but I have three things to say:

1. *huuuuuuugs* Love you.
2. That picture? Is awesome. You? Are stupid amounts of teh pretteh.
3. Stephen Fry FTW, eternally. Oh yes.

And now I shall go wash the sand from my hair and sleep and hope to make more sense tomorrow! I swear, sometimes I’m almost an articulate girl. For serious. ;)
p.s. Did I mention *huuuuugs* and loooove? *smishes*

1. *SMOOSHES YOU WITH LOVE*
2. *blushes* Well, I wasn't going to choose one of the SEVENTY BILLION unflattering shots of myself I possess, now was I? ;)
3. So very, very true. :D

You are RIDICULOUSLY articulate when it counts, so I hereby give you permission to be as senseless as you like while you're here. *twirls you around*

Hee. It makes me happy that you're using that picture for the website.

Also, thanks for bringing that book to my attention! I read a book by Pamela Service many years ago that I quite liked (The Reluctant God, which was tailor-made for me: bespelled boy pharaohs coming to life in the present; archaeological digs, at which said boy pharaoh is appropriately horrified; random adventures in England...), so I'll have to check that one out.

That picture is SUCH a favorite- I was goofing around for YONKS with my camera and Shakespeare doll and had such a blast. \o/

I never thought to try and find anything else by Pamela Service! If you read Weirdos, I can try and track down this other one, which sounds fantastic!

Yes! I'm SO GLAD someone else knows about this book! Rereading it now is such an amazing experience- I loved it SO MUCH and it all comes rushing back. I even remember the notes I made in the margin of the *gasp* library book.
