This is awful...I know the newstories are mostly reporting the murder of Rhys Jones at the moment, this is just as tragic too. All because of the way someone dresses :(

I cried so much over this, the cruelty that this young couple were shown. And the poor guy will come round to find his girlfriend is dead. Thuse guys should be put up against a wall and shot.

This happens in all walks of life.....you highlight this example but it happens all the time in every culture...on this occasion it's someone who happens to like a little goth culture...surely you should be shrewd enough to realise this?

Yes, someone likes a little goth culture and gets beaten to death for it. Partially scalped, people jumping from a wall on to their heads repeatedly, kicked and beaten so savagely that the police couldn't even tell what sex they were - they were unrecognisable. Just because they chose to dress and look differently. You of all people should be sympathetic to this after all the shit you took off neds over the years even if you're now trying to re-write history.

Sure, my sympathies are there of course, it's an extremely sad case.

My point is that it's not just goth kids, it's everywhere, an 11 year old was shot dead in Liverpool of late per example.

I was just a lucky b*stard when it came to neds, maybe had the drunken bravado to make it all go away if need be...

Apologies if it seemed like I was critiscing your caring stance....that's not the case, it's merely a human ethic whereby I like to think that in terms of bullying & attrocities this kind of thing happens in all walks of life.

I take your point, but what I do know is that ned culture is on the increase and we are becoming a country terrorised by our youth. I see the results of lenient parenting every day don't forget, and the shooting of the 11 year old boy, which was just as tragic, was again perpetrated by a youth.
A certain element of 15-17 year olds in this country are running wild, with no sanctions imposed and we are beginning to "reap the whirlwind"
I do my best on a dai;y basis to try and talk sense to the trouble-makers, help them realise what a bad path they're starting to follow, but there's a limit to what I can do on my own, we need tighter government legislation and an iniative to get the violent and disruptive element off the streets and into something more worthwhile.
