001 - [Audio]

[sacrificemyself]

[A groan can be heard as a new arrival is slowly waking up. After a moment during which one can assume he’s getting his bearings straight, he finally speaks up in a low murmur.]

Why’m I so cold? It shouldn’t be this-…. Bellatrix! Hermione? Hermione, where are you? …Hermione!

[Scrambling to his feet, he apparently kicks the journal besides him.]

[She opens up the journal almost absentmindedly and it's about halfway through the entry when she finally realises... that is a very familiar voice...]

...[Now the question is... is this a product of the stupid experiment?]

Dobby's not here... [Another long pause.] Harry and I are, though...

[voice] - ♥

[And then softly, as though she's hardly daring to believe it.] ...Ron, is that really you?

[voice] - ilu, bb

[At the first sound of the voice coming from seemingly nowhere, Ron drops the journal and tries to find the source. Seeing no one but recognizing the voice (as though he could ever not recognize it), he begins to really and truly wonder if he's gone insane.]

Hermione?! Where are you?

[voice] - and you know ilu2 bb ♥

The journal, Ron. I know it's strange... [She sounds pretty tired, too.]

[Voice]

[After everything from the past week, Draco's a bit unnerved and on edge. So when he hears Ron talking into the journal? Yeah, no. Not happening. So what's he going to do? Let's just resort to old habits.]

...I thought the air smelled rather foul this evening. Now I know why.

[Voice]

[No. Oh, no. He'd just heard this voice not too long ago, and now it doesn't sound nearly as pained as he'd like it to be.]

You? What the hell is your voice doing coming out of here?

[Voice]

Haven't you heard, Weaselby? I'm just that special. [Sorry Ron, Draco's in the mood to be obnoxious.] I think the better question is what are you doing here?

[Voice]

[This is different... how?] That's none of your bloody business! Why don't you go back to your psychotic aunt where she can prune you to be a decent homicidal maniac?

[Voice] \o/

[There's a moment of suspicious staring at the journal, just in case the Malnosso are toying with him again. But he can't exactly ignore it, since that's a voice he's missed for several months now.]

Ron?! Are you alright?

[Voice] :D

Harry? Blimey, either I'm going mental, or everyone I know exists as a little voice coming out of a book now.

[Voice] <3333333333

You're not going mental yet, honest. That book's more like a communication device that I can talk to you through. Everyone gets one when they come to Luceti.

So it's not a... not one of You-Know-Who's you-know-whats? Not that I'll believe you until I see you, anyway. Which won't be long, if Hermione can figure out how to conjure a decent Patronus.

[Voice] - bah, I'm always late to these intro posts XD;;

[Sirius hears the sounds of someone having a very vocal reaction to arriving in Luceti, and at first, he thinks nothing of it.

Until... he realizes he knows that voice. But then his next thought is to ask whether this is a trick by the Malnosso or not.

However, wondering gets you nowhere, so he bites the bullet and asks.]

Is that you, Ron? Or is it a clever trick by the Malnosso, to get us to lower our guard?

[He doesn't want to think it's a trick, but caution is a good thing sometimes.]

[Voice] - Better late than never! :D

[Ron doesn't answer from a moment. He's had three familiar voices talking at him through the journal already - two of them very welcome and one of them very much the opposite. But this one... even though Harry had already mentioned that he was hear, Ron's not fully prepared to believe in what he's hearing.]

... Sirius?

B- bloody hell. You're really....

[Voice] - ^^ That's true! And did I mention I am beyond happy you brought Ron here?

[Sirius notes the hesitation before Ron responds; he's rather used to it by now, given that, for all accounts and purposes, he's come back from the dead. He also read over the previous conversations Ron had with Harry and Hermione, which is a good starting point.]

I'm not dead, Ron. At least not here.

Sorry if I seemed suspicious; the Malnosso got to me once, and I don't plan on that happening a second time. But since Harry and Hermione have already spoken with you, that's good enough for me.

Have they come and gotten you yet? No one should be wandering around alone.

[Voice] - Hee, I hope I live up to all the happy people've been attributing to him, then. XD

[There's still a pause in here. Dead people stay dead, as far as Ron's concerned, and he's fairly sure Sirius was dead a few minutes ago, when he was still in England and things made sense.]

I... it's just that you... I mean....

Hi. It's... it's been a while.

Harry's coming. I've been seeing flashes of Hermione's Patronus, so I reckon Harry shouldn't be too far off.

[Voice] I'm even later, I win the fail award

[Now that's a voice she hasn't heard in... a couple of months. Luna, though, reacts as usual - being totally undisturbed by it.]

Hello, Ron, are you back?

[Voice] You can't be more fail than Ron. It's just not possible.

[This here's a voice he just heard a few minutes ago, though he admittedly wasn't paying very much attention to it.]

Luna? What do you mean, 'back'?

[Voice] Not -probable-.

[Ron might notice she's not as... focused as she was back at Malfoy Manor. While she's fully capable of focusing when she needs to, when she doesn't, she kind of drifts off into space... though she still makes sense in her Luna-way.]

You were here before, you know, but then you vanished. And now you've been returned again, so Hermione will be very happy, although I don't think you should have left without telling us you were doing so. But they don't give us much time in this place, do they? It's quite troublesome.

[Voice] Admittedly, anything's possible.

[This would require Ron to pick up on subtleties... which is a nice thought, but doesn't usually happen. Still, he's always liked Luna, and now that he knows Hermione is pretty much all right and answers are forthcoming, he's keen on listening to her.]

I... what? No, I'm pretty sure I was never here, Luna. I've only left Harry and Hermione's side once since August, and I definitely wasn't here in the interval.
