I posted this comment on your album website but then I realized that you probably don't see it since the last time you updated was about a year ago:
I was researching the FSM for my School for the Common Good class and I learned about your dad. He was such a fascinating guy and my friends and I joked that I should marry someone like that (completely kidding of course). Then one of them said, well with any luck he has a son. And so we googled him. And you came up. And I really hope you find this more entertaining and less creepy because I promise it all happened in the goofiest possible way. Good luck with your album.

I did get the other comment, that journal still sends me emails if someone comments on it. But I'm glad you commented again, this time signed in, so that you'll get my reply.

I totally don't find it creepy at all. Actually it really excites me to know that young people are hearing about and studying my father. After getting your comment, I googled around a little bit and found that he's getting press in places I had no idea about, which is neat.

What is the School for the Common Good? Sounds really cool, is it in Atlanta?

School for the Common Good is a fabulous class offered at my otherwise heinously uptight private school. It's an American history/literature class but it's mostly designed to study the issue of race relations in Atlanta (which are ridiculously strained). We partner with an inner city school. It's been rough at times but hugely enlightening. We (being my class, comprised of the entire political left of my school) actually saw him on that documentary about the FSM. It was SO inspiring. We've been getting kind of apathetic recently because of the war and the gay rights movement and the president... and it kind of shook us up and made us want to get involved again ( ... )
