I need to stay in practice, especially in a place such as this. My back yard is the most secluded place I can find.

You might want to consider practicing at night. I don't think Mayfield will take too kindly to you should you be discovered.

No. Night is too conspicuous. People will know that something is going on when they see lights like my magic produces at night.

As for the town finding out, I don't think it's a concern as long as I avoid using it on other inhabitants. I have been carrying this sword on my belt for over a month in broad daylight and have yet to get it confiscated.

It's, well... It's a rather complicated procedure. It took me five years to be able to use lightning magic effectively. But it helps having this.

This sword is imbued with lightning magic. I can combine it with my own magic to produce results more powerful than either could produce alone.
