The joys of winter travel and other stories

I'm home. Sick. But home. It's been the longest three days I can ever remember. Sunday was uneventful. All flights were on time. I did have to change rooms at the hotel. They put me directly across from the TGIFriday's neon sign and a giant parking lot light. But the second room was great. The bed was comfy. All this was good because I didn't sleep ( Read more... )

*hugs* I hope you feel better soon!!

And from all my traveling over the years for soccer (and proclivities for a sinus infection and other such illnesses) I've been told my my doctors/trainers that flying can actually tip you over the scale from 'may get sick' to 'definitely getting sick' because of the pressure changes and such. Soooo, not that we can avoid it sometimes, but it's nice to be aware of anyways.

I really hope that the interview turns out to have been worth all the travel!!

Your doctors and trainers are correct. I've been fighting this for a few weeks and yesterday afternoon was the first time I could let go. I might have been able to hold it off if the travel itself had gone well.

As for the position, I really loved it but I don't want to move to a small town. Not yet, anyway. I had a great time, however, and I'm glad I had the opportunity to interview.

sorry to hear that you aren't feeling well. you need some soup and juice. and some sleep. put your ipod on and relax. chill for a few hours.

I hope the job interview went well. even if you decide that you don't want to move, knowing that you *are wanted* is the confident booster to get the job you do want.

The job interview went very well. Though I think that it isn't a good fit right now. The job is, the location isn't.

I was too unmotivated and unwell yesterday even to turn up the thermostat and I was freezing.

I had the soup today. I don't have much in the house right now and even a can was more than I could manage. I had to drop the insurance approval letter at my doctor's around lunch time so I stopped an got some takeout soup. It didn't quite hit the spot but it was fuel and I needed that.

I hate colds.
