V for Vendetta. This was an interesting film on many levels. The allegories between the "future" and the present were deliberately obvious and heavy handed. The effects were well done as was the story itself. But I'm not certain I believed it. I am not certain that I was convinced that V fell for Evey. The graphic novel that V is based off of is much better than the movie but I enjoyed the movie greatly, mostly b/c I felt that Hugo Weaving's performance was terrific, especially through the mask.

I agree that Hugo Weaving was excellent, of course since we never see him, what proof do we have that it was he? I liked his character tremendously, I just didn't see the Evey connection, that emotional link that made him change his mind.

Oh I agree with you on that point. It was a bit of a stretch. That's why the graphic novel is so much better! :)
